The shopping mile - one of the most popular in the region - is only 150 m from the hotel. Here you find a good selection of shops and cafés.

Hausberg


The town’s history begins in 1183 with the Castle Lutterberg which is located on the 420 m high Hausberg. You can get there by foot or cableway. From up here you have a fantastic view of Bad Lauterberg and the region. The local gastronomy tops off this amazing trip.

The exhibition mine “Scholmzeche” is only 100 metres from the hotel. During an exciting tour through the iron ore search tunnel, which was created in 1837, tour guides tell the fascinating history of mining in the Harz.

In the museum of local history of Bad Lauterberg you learn all about the town’s history, hunting and forest use, mining in the Harz, handicraft tools and historic personalities.
