Family tradition
1956
Our family-run wellness hotel was opened in 1956 on May 12th by Gerhard and Annemarie Mühl after it had been converted into a guest house with 14 single rooms and 7 double rooms
1958
A second building was purchased, and 3 double rooms and 6 single rooms were added
1960
The 2 houses became one with a lobby and a bath and massage section
1961
Showers and WCs were installed in all guest rooms
1966
State recognition as sanatorium with its own physician and practice
1970
Extension of the “Hausberghaus” by addition of 30 single rooms, 2 double rooms and 3 suites as well as addition of a large indoor pool
1975
Enlargement of the lobby and bath section
1987
This year saw the second generation with the twins Wolfgang and Andreas Mühl after the death of their father Gerhard Mühl
1989
Demolition of the “Scholbenhaus” and new construction of a bed complex with 20 double rooms and 7 single rooms, gymnastics hall and a new medical practice as well as a new second pool and spacious lounge, the “Sonnenwinkel”
1993
Expansion of the Hausberghaus by additional 8 double rooms and redesign of the indoor pool area
1998
The sanatorium was converted into a wellness hotel
2000
Addition of an extra building, the “Heikenberghaus” with 22 suites and underground car park with 20 parking spaces, construction of a new kitchen, conversion of the bath section into a wellness area, expansion of the restaurant, new construction of a hotel bar and conference rooms
2004
The third generation takes over with Thomas Mühl who is the managing director until today
2006
Enlargement of the wellness area, partial renovation of individual sections and technology modernization
2014
Modernization of the entire building and conversion of the “Hausberghaus” into 15 studios and 11 double rooms. The “Heikenberghaus” was expanded by 15 double rooms. Conversion and expansion of the hotel bar with terrace, merging of the restaurant and the “Sonnenwinkel” and enlargement of the sauna facility by a Finnish 90-degree sauna
